Bernadette has taught at many of the southern Catholic schools and colleges, most recently as Director of Campus at St Aloysius Catholic College and as Principal at Holy Rosary Catholic School. During her time at St Aloysius Catholic College she worked closely with Fr Chris Hope to develop strong links with the Parish, facilitated the development of curriculum and assessment, student behaviour management through School Wide Positive Behaviour Support, and was actively involved in the School Improvement Program. Bernadette has held leadership positions at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School, Sacred Heart College and St Aloysius Catholic College during times of change and transition at each of these schools.
Bernadette’s ongoing commitment to Catholic Education, her active witness to the Faith in the school community and her continued leadership and development as a leader within Catholic Education makes her a worthy recipient of this Award.
